Never take your car to farbers
My car was in a light accident last year October. My insurance miway recommended farbers coachworks in montague gardens. I get a called from farbers saying my radio got ****** on their premises. They obviously replaced the radio which took another 2/3 weeks to get sorted, costing me an extra R1k later on ubers since my 20 day rental car had been returned. I requested an courtesy car but Farbers declined saying they don't have any available. It took atleast 2 weeks to sort out a radio but on colletion I asked the consultant where is code for the radio they told me I dont need it. I responded are you sure because my radio had a code (if the radio goes into save mode a code is needed to unlock it) after a few days I noticed my cupholder was broken. Called farbers up.. Explain the situation, their first response is "we didn't touch that area of the car". I told them the radio is next to the cup holder hence the cup holder got damaged when the radio got ******. They after agreed to get it sorted.I also realised my polo and 1.9 tdi badge was missing. So I mailed the manager he agreed the badges were still there and will be placed on the car when they install the new cupholder. Cupholder installed. I asked where is the badges, 30 minutes later the manager comes out we can't find it. It's now 6/7 months later still no badges. I was told I should find it myself and they will compensate me. Now to current situation two months ago my radio goes into safe mode. I obviously don't have the code on the new radio. I'm tired of calling Fabers and called my insurance to sort out this mess. Two months later, after atleast 15/20 calls with miway insurance im still with a radio that doesn't work and no polo badges.
