Colour matching disaster
After many delays, i collect my Navara dbl cab. Small right rear panel and bumper damge. I had to sign release forms while they brought my vehicle forward. I point out to the lady that its now a 2 tone white van and asked if its only my eyes. She agreed and proceeded to summon her manager. This fool says " oh no, you just have to move the van into the sunlight" which he did and he now shows me that the shade indifference has now disappeared. REALLY?! LOL I asked how all the panels cant be the same shade at any time of day? I signed under duress as I needed my vehicle and my hired car was returned already. My insurer asked me to come into their assessment centre to establish if I had recourse or not. They agreed and made contact with Farbers who contacte d me a week or so later. First apologized then wanted me to go to another ' independent colour specialist" and If HE agrees then they will redo it. I realised i was just getting the run around as he had been paid already due to me signing the release. I decided to drop it ....as my mental health was more important " it is what it is" is what i told myself. Its at least quite satisfying when someone mentions they going there and i ask them to go check my vehicle and decide 😀 an adverti*****t in motion!

"No Doug...we'll organise u a courtesy car and reaolve the ussue asap. He agreed with my initial assessment btw...of the paint been "too white". First week went by...gave him the benefit of 5 days doubt...then i made contact.
" No no no....this coming Tuesday, we'll sort it out!"
2 weeks have since passed. I would have been off if he never made contact reallly.
Problem is....i dont think its just Farbers to be fair....in this case yes but it's the service industry in general, in my view. Be grateful when u actually find a " good guy" repairman/company.
Moving on....read everything before signing, cover yourself.
