Appalling Communication & Incomplete Workmanship

My vehicle was sent to Farber Coachworks through my insurer. The experience was marked by miscommunication, confusion, and zero quality control. Communication was abysmal: their phone line remained unreachable throughout, and WhatsApp updates were plagued by day-long delays. Staff repeatedly addressed me incorrectly as "sir" and "Mrs. Erasmus", eventually admitting they were confusing my vehicle details with another car in their workshop.

Worse still, they gave false completion assurances that my vehicle was on track for delivery, when in reality the required parts had not even arrived at their shop. This false information directly caused me financial loss, leaving me stranded with extra transfer expenses and inconvenience around planning my office commute. When I finally went to collect the car, their quality control failed completely: the wheel arch moulding at the primary point of impact had been left unreplaced and damaged. I had to act as my own quality inspector, point out the unaddressed damage to their staff on the floor, and waste more time returning days later for a second fitment. I gave management the opportunity to respond by submitting a formal written complaint two weeks ago, but they have ignored it entirely. I have also logged a formal complaint with my insurer requesting a full review of Farber Coachworks as an approved service provider. Avoid this workshop if you expect basic competence, honest timelines, or customer accountability.
