Very expensive and unfriendly and defensive staff.

So to explain our experience. My very old Peugeot which is probably not even worth R20 000 has a bad oil leak and cannot be driven. We got it towed to Fangio where we asked for a quote. We received a quote that was much more than its worth (given there are other issues). We requested the quote to be split between labor and parts, they were difficult about it, clearly not wanting us to know. They eventually did send it and when we got the quote for those parts from Peugeot (which is known to be very expensive), Fangio's pricing was much more. The clutch was almost double what Peugeot quoted and the water related parts a third more. When questioned, they got defensive and rude with us and could not justify their pricing. They even tried to explain it by saying Peugeot quoted us for different parts for a different Peugeot, however, we gave them the VIN number of the car so it was definitely the correct parts. The woman working there even told me they are expensive. Then when we said we wouldn't be using them, they forced us to remove the car immediately knowing we had to tow it and it was the middle of the week. Given that I still had to pay R650 for the quote, they could have been more accommodating. Would never recommend them, not only for their pricing but the rude and uncaring attitude we received.
