Bad quality glasses

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of my Falcon Milano glasses and the service I received.

I purchased a pair of Falcon Milano glasses from the Sandton branch last year for approximately R2,000. After only one year of use, the coating on the right lens has started peeling/disappearing, which has affected my vision and makes it difficult to see properly.

When I returned to the store to raise my concern, I was told that the damage was caused by exposure to the sun. However, I believe this is a manufacturing or factory defect, as prescription glasses should not deteriorate to this extent after only one year of normal use.

To make matters worse, I was informed that I would need to pay R1,043 for replacement lenses. I find it unacceptable that I am expected to pay for what appears to be a product quality issue. How can I trust that the same problem will not occur again after spending more money?

For a product that cost R2,000, I expected much better durability, quality, and customer service. Instead of taking responsibility and assisting a loyal customer, the company has shifted the cost onto me.

I would not recommend Falcon Milano based on my experience. Customers deserve products that last longer than a year and after-sales service that addresses legitimate quality concerns fairly.
