Need my money back

I requested services for dress making and other items for my husband. I paid R3000 deposit on the 9th of March 2018, a personal crises arises that let me to request for a refund since nothing I requested have been done. We never had a contract on anything more especially cancellation. She refuses to give me back my money and insist I take something instead worth if R3000. I paid my deposit 20days ago and I am not happy with how rude she was and refusing to pay my money since no service was rendered. She operates at End Street Mall in Johannesburg shop #26. Her telephone number is ********** 113. Not sure even if her company is registered. What happens when she disappears with my cash.? I really need help
