After the mistreatment of my child by the principal we had a meeting with the owner of the school ,and I appreciate how he handled the matter in a very professional and calm manner. I am satisfied

I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Faith Academy Christian School in windmill park regarding how my child’s grade placement was handled. My son was initially promoted to Grade 2, and I accepted this decision in good faith, trusting that it had been properly assessed and approved by the school. Based on this, I purchased Grade 2 and Grade 1 books, which cost me a significant amount of money. I also made it clear that if he struggled academically, I was prepared to arrange a tutor to support him. However, the school later reversed this decision due to what they called an internal error ( their admin is the one who placed my son without informing the principal). I want to make it clear that I do not have a problem with my child repeating Grade 1. In fact, I have since enrolled him at another school where he is currently doing Grade 1. My issue is not the grade — it is the way the situation was handled. The most disturbing part was how the principal handled the matter. Without informing me or arranging a formal discussion, the principal went to my child’s classroom and removed (removed in a very impolite way as he explains ) him from Grade 2 and placed him back into Grade 1 without talking to me first like how they informed me that they’re moving him from grade 1 to 2. This was done in a very unprofessional manner and caused emotional distress to my child. He was confused and embarrassed, and as a parent, that was heartbreaking. The principal is very rude and didn’t show any remorse When I tried to resolve the issue amicably with the owner of the school, he showed little to no interest. I had to constantly follow up for feedback and updates, which should not be the responsibility of a parent in such a serious matter. There was no urgency, no accountability, and no genuine concern shown for what my child had experienced. The entire ordeal caused me financial loss and emotional distress. As a paying parent, I expected fairness, professionalism, and respect. Instead, I was met with poor communication and a lack of leadership. All I am asking for is my refund (R3,700), which includes school fees and the registration fee. Under these circumstances, I believe a refund is justified due to the mismanagement and the way my child was treated.and I have to buy stationery at his new school where they treat everyone with fairness Parents deserve transparency and children deserve dignity. Unfortunately, this was not my experience at Faith Christian Academy. — Lesibana Phalane ***
