Misguided, unpleasant and tiring - things a holiday should not be made of

There were a view highlights to this 6 day breakaway in the Twin Towers at Fairview Estates in Fouriesburg which were the alpacas and the gorgeous view, but that is where it ends. The advertising is completely misguiding. You drive for half an hour on an extremely bad dirt road only meant for 4x4's to get to the house, there is NO cellphone signal at the premises at all and no person over the age of 55 should be able to go there as the stairs are not user friendly. None of the above is mentioned in their adverti*****t. We experienced theft of our belongings and whoever stole our belongings came back 3 times while we were lying in bed listened to him walk around on the roof as everytime we went up to chase him away, he could hear us coming by the loudness of the wooden floors throughout the entire house and simply run away. This loudness of the floors also resulted in no sleeping-in as no one can sleep as soon as someone else in the house makes a move. The house is situated on a private poperty, but on one morning 2 taxi's and 5 or 6 vehicles entered the property and came to pray or do whatever it was that they were doing in the mountain about 400m from the house. There is no gates or any safety measures in place and any one can simply enter the property. They also advertise that they breed with appalloosa horses and there are signs showing in which way to drive should a guest wish to go have a look, but the road is in such an unused, overgrown and dangerous state, it is impossible to do so, as we have tried. We had no electricity for about an hour the one evening and then on another occasion a staff member came to us stating that he fixed the water problem, but there was nothing wrong with the water. A few hours after that the water dried up and we did not have any water, we said same to the staff member and he simply said he will look at it and we may have water again the next day only. It also rained a bit resulting in the ground level being under water. There is a **** that comes every day to clean, whom cannot speak a word Afrikaans or English so one cannot communicate with her at all, and she comes whenever it pleases her, 9h00, 12h00, 7h30 and then takes more than an hour, when all required is dishes to be done. On the day prior to our departure, the next person pitched at the property, all the way from Gauteng, to book in, seemingly being double booked with us. All of the above happened while the owner/manager was lying on vacation without properly managing any aspect of our stay. We will NEVER return or refer any of our friends as we paid a huge sum of money and now requiring a vacation after the entire experience.
