Dissatisfaction
I must express my disappointment with this company. My 63 year old mother is struggling to get assistance for her grand-daughters educational needs. We have been calling them and the Nedgroup countless times with no assistance.
My mother is not tech savvy and they refusing to speak to anyone else regarding the quotations and other stuff needed to conclude the request. This is very difficult mostly on my niece because now she is struggling at school without stationery and proper school uniform.
With each and every call we are being put from pillar to post. The sad part is that for the past 7 years, we have been fully supporting my niece and not requesting much help from the trust but now that we need them. They make it very difficult to get assistance.
4 years ago, I was assisted by a lady whilst they were still in partnership with Old Mutual, she said to me we play a role of a parent, financially to the child after their parent is no more. I beg to differ because my sister would never put her child through such trauma if she were still alive. The need of her child always took priority. I am truly unhappy with Fairheads and Nedgroup Beneficiaries, they have failed us, especially my mother who is 63 years and out of options on how to go about providing for the child further.
Thank you for raising your concerns with us. An Administrator will be in contact with you. Kindly note that because of privacy laws in South Africa, the company is not a liberty to discuss information with anyone other than the appointed person.
If English is not your Mom's first language, we have administrators who are able to assist her in her first language so that she can better understand what is required of her in order for the Administrator to process the request.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I have tried to address the issue with a number of consultants that language is not necessarily the major barrier but the knowledge and understanding of what is required in order to process a request.
I took the liberty of calling the consultants myself and explaining to them what we need help with and still have my mother call them to confirm and also for security check purposes but still, all is doom and gloom.
Yesterday one consultant even resorted to us having a conference call with my mother so he can do a security check and confirm. Sadly when I called in again, the lady that was assisting us refused to have me in the conference call which is frustrating because they need to relay what is needed to me as well, because the information they are giving to my mother is not being properly relayed to me and I am the one assisting her with sending the e-mails.
Your urgent assistance will be highly appreciated with this pressing matter. Please

An Administrator called you yesterday to explain how the Fairheads beneficiary fund works and what is required from you. You advised that you had sent your documents to Old Mutual and not to Fairheads. You were then asked to send the documents to us, namely, Fairheads Benefit Services, so that we can assist you.
Please note that Fairheads Benefit Services is not Old Mutual or Nedbank. We are a completely separate and different company.
Kindly please send these documents to us, Fairheads Benefit Services so that we can assist you. Once we have received the documents, the Administrator has advised that your request will be prioritised.
