UNFAIR PRACTICE

Today (04/01/2019) i went to buy an item that costs R899.99 at the Volsoorus branch store using my own transport as the item is big to carry by hand. When i had to pay for the item i was informed that i must pay a delivery fee as they stated that it is compulsory to pay the delivery fee and i was not allowed to use my own delivery truck to collect the item. The worse part is that the delivery fee is not included in the amount of the item i was buying meaning i had to add more money for it. When i requested a written document that compels me to pay that fee,they stated its a new law so they do not have it in writing but they are implementing it and i was informed that i would not be able to buy the item if i do not pay the delivery fee. There is no poster in store that speaks if such so that as a customer i am aware of the added fee. The delivery fee also depends on the area you stay in as they say it is estimated by the distance but there is no proper document made available to customers to notify us of such prices and compulsory fees that we have to pay.

I would this matter to be investigated or looked at because i feel my right to choose whether i want such a service was violated as i was forced to pay for a delivery that i did not need just because i needed the item that was sold instore and i ended paying more than i intended too.
