Terrible Service.

I purchased a tv stand on laybye from Fair Price Dobsonville( 3671 cnr Van Onsellen &Matala street, opp Dobsonville campus) in December 2018. I sent someone on the 28th January 2018, to pay the remaining balance on the laybye and release my stand. Only then do they inform us that ONLY the person that did the laybye can release the item as they require that person's fingerprint. Understandably, this is a security feature but it would have been great if they had maybe informed us when the laybye was done initially. When I personally went to the store and requested to speak to the manager, i was made to wait for more than 15 minutes and when he finally came out to see me he literally had no time for me, he was in such a rush to get into his car and drive off.

Ok. So the person i had sent was advised to pay a fraction f them remaining amount then when I come for the fingerprint I can pay the balance and take my stand home. I then called the store to make arrangements to collect the item. Only then do they tell me about the compulsory delivery which obviously is going to cost me an additional amount.

I just feel that all these terms and conditions were supposed to be explained before the sales was finalized, not this this ***** that's going on.
