Sofa broke within a month

I bought Sleeper couch in November 26 or 27then In December 17 it broke and they didn't want to take them back saying there is no warranty on the legs but when I told them that it the couch it's self that broke they said I must bring the papers and I sign some and the workshop was going to take the back that was Monday but called them 2 weeks back till today they haven't contacted me nor came does this mean I lost my money on couch that did not even finish a month.
