Selling items that are out of stock

I purchased the wordrobe online on the 30th July and it was on stock. Yesterday when I was tracking it the status showed that it is pre-ordered. only now when I inqure they are telling me that I need to wait 14-24 days for my delivery because the wardrobe is out of stock.
