Poor Service on goods returns Fair Price

I Cynthia Simba Muregu of phone number ***, went to Fair Price Furniture ****rweg in Brits town and bought a couch suite on Saturday 08 March 2022. The couch was delivered and the delivery guys were in such a hurry and left immediately after delivery. When I inspected the couch, I found a hole at the back. I then called the shop on Monday 07 March 2022 and they couldn't help me over the phone and I decided to go to the shop where I spoke with the manager Joseph Mlambo. Mr Mlambo (who i found to be useless) told me that he could not help me and that I should have stopped the deliverers and did a full inspection of the couch before they left. In other words, it is my fault that the couch has a hole in it. I am very heart broken and very angry at the service I was given. I didn't expect such extremely poor service from a reputable store like Fair Price. After such a longtime of saving lots money so that I can finally enjoy sitting on the couch suite with my family, I am unable to enjoy it.. It hurts so much now that Fair Price is forcing me to keep and use the couch with a hole that I didn't cause which came with the couch. Before buying the couch I went through their terms and conditions that they mislead people on their website, which says "goods must be inspected by the customer for defects and errors, and errors or defects must be reported to us within five days after delivery". I did report on time and I believe I was not fairly treated. I feel that my hard-earned money has just gone down the drain. I regret the day i thought of buying furniture in that shop. As their name says FAIR PRICE, they are most definitely NOT FAIR AT ALL.
