Lost card which has my money can't be replaced

Lost card but I still have reference number. My card has R550 I fail to understand how can they not make a new card put my R550 in there n charge money for card lost so I can purchase something with that money I don't want my money back I just want to buy something with it apparently I did laybuy at another store in Limpopo nd now am back home in free state my ex husband burned everything I had thats how I lost the card nd when I go to the shop they are able to search my details but unable to help me because I don't have the card.
