Fair Price Unfair Practices

I went to purchase a wardrobe that costs R4500. 00 today, that is the advertised price at the store and on the pamphlet. The fine print on the pamphlet states that "prices do not include delivery", I have my own transport and I understand that the store doesn't keep large items furniture items so they have to be brought from the warehouse (they say it is in Brits).

The manager at the store refused to allow me to take the wardrobe that I purchased with my own transport as I have a bakkie that I can use, he tells me that I have to pay an additional R290.00 for delivery which for me it is unnecessary as I can come to the store and take my wardrobe myself with my own transport which is cheaper. I explained to the store manager and his assistants that I cannot afford their transport and that I have my own, but he tells me that I have to pay the R290.00 which for me it sounds like a hidden cost which is not mentioned anywhere on the adverti*****ts and I believe that as a customer I should get the option to fetch my own stuff or have it delivered.

I have paid the R4500.00, but my purchase could not be processed because of the R290.00 which was not mentioned, hence I did not budget for it, but I have my own transport that I can use and not have to pay for their transport.

I am kindly requesting your urgent assistance regarding this matter as I need the wardrobe urgently and I don't think it is fair that I can't have it because of an unfair charge for delivery that I don't even need.
