Factory Fault Sound Bar

On the 28th November 2024 I bought a Fridge, Wardrobe, Kitchen unit, TV stand and ISTAR Sound Bar 2.1ch Black. They were all delivered on time which I was grateful for.

The problem started when the Sound bar stopped playing on the 14th December 2024. I dint take it back immediately as I was already preparing for holidays. On Saturday the 18th January 2025 I went to Lake Side Mall Branch (Benoni) where I bought it from to report. I was told that people are complaining about it as it has factory fault. They booked it in and I told them I dont wat it anymore since they said it has factory issues/problems. I asked if I can get another Sound bar and pay the balance which they agreed but when I wanted to pay they changed saying that they want the box if not they are not going to help, and I no longer have the box.

My worry is that how can they expect me to keep something that they know it has factory fault. I want my refund or else they must allow me to pay the difference and get the sound bar that’s not going to give me problems.
