Empty Promises

On the 12th August 2017 I went to Fair Price Furniture store at Thorntree shopping center and I bought wardrobe. Before I can even buy it I asked them about the deliveries and when is it going to be delivered and I was advised by Mmapitse Madisa that because I bought it on a Saturday it will be delivered during the course of next week and over the weekend they will send people to assemble the wardrobe for us.

I decided to buy the wardrobe because I was happy about their services as well as their explanation for my questions. Monday night the wardrobe was delivered to my house and the guys delivered the wardrobe mentioned that they just deliver and the people to assemble the wardrobe will come over the weekend. Saturday morning I phoned the store to find out when are this guys going to come for assembling the wardrobe and unfortunately Mmapitse was on the line maybe with another customer and they said they will tell her to give me a call. I waited for more than 1 hour for her call but never phoned. I phoned them again and they said they will call those guys and they will then get back to me of which they never did. When I try to call them they were rejecting my call and I got frustrated and wonder if this people were only interested on making sales that is why they made those empty promises and now they can't deliver.

If they think that Fair Price is the only furniture store around Tshwane they must think again because now I wish to return their wardrobe and get my money back as I am not desperate and there are lit of furniture store I can buy from with better service than theirs.

I urge to Fair Price management to teach their staff members about customer service because it is clear to me that they don't know anything about customer service and trying to make customer believing them to things and at the end of the day they cannot deliver as promised. They must never make promises to clients that they cannot keep. Kindly address this matter and revert back to me with a feedback.
