Assembling furniture and delivery

I bought a TV stand and coffee table from fair price. They then delivered after 6pm without even noticing me in advance that they will arrive. Who delivers after 6??? I get some guy friend to help me assemble the stand and the table but some of the furniture doesn't even have holes. The manual doesn't even guide well. I am not happy I am flippin frustrated
