Fair price cosmo mall

I bought a bed in October 2024 from the cosmo mall branch after discussing with the store consultant what I needed. The base and mattress were delivered in October 2024 then everything seemed fine.in January 2025 there were nails on the bed that were produced and there was a funny sound when climbing the bed.

In February 2025 I decided to call the store and I was told that the base has a 15 day warranty and they can't exchange it.i called head office and spoke to several different people who never gave me their names and the last person I spoke to said I need to ask for the store manager as the base is still within a 6 month warranty.

I called the store again and asked to speak to the store manager, who told me that they can't help me as the 15 days has lapsed.i asked her to look at the store receipt which also states that exchanges are such to CPA. She told me that unfortunately that doesn't apply to their store policy and if I want to I must buy a new base at the bed shop cos they won't exchange the base as per the stores policy.i asked if she was aware that if the store trades in SA that anything faulty has a 6 months warranty and the store policy doesn't override that. She said unfortunately I won't get any help with repairs or exchange and that I can gladly escalate the matter to any social media platforms and cgso.

I contacted cgso in March 2025 and they have been dragging with the matter, the last response I received from them was that the manufacturer will send out someone to come fix the bed at my own cost,which i declined. i was shocked to hear that cos cgso should be aware of the 6 month warranty that the goods come with and somehow overlooked that. They also overlooked that the bed did not meet the quality or served the purpose that it was intended for . I have been asking for feedback after sending them the snippets of what cpa states to date I haven't received any feedback from the store or cgso.
