sour milk

I bought faircape long life milk recently and when we opened it to make white sauce I realized I threw sour milk into the pot, the whole carton was sour. The expiry date on the carton is only the 17th December 2019. I am very disappointed as I had to throw away the white sauce that I made. I am a dedicated buyer of Fair Cape milk but am considering changing to another brand.
