Beware of the owner

I have unfortunately had the displeasure of doing business with the owner, Jake van Zyl, and recommend caution in approaching with the intent of exchanging money for parts or service.

A long story short, I purchased items from the owner on 12 March 2020.

It is now almost 3 months later and I have neither the parts nor the money, even after he agreed to refund me months ago.

Countless messages, phone calls, voice messages have occurred in an attempt to get him to honour the agreement. He has blatantly chosen to ignore his commitment to refund me and has opted to keep my money for himself to date.

An exorbitant amount of elaborate lies, excuses and slow-walking later, I am now instituting legal action against Jake van Zyl to recoup the money owed to me. Unfortunately he seems to be of the calibre individual whom will only do the right thing when legally forced to do so.

It is my opinion that he has proven to be an ************* individual that should be approached with caution. It is rather unfortunate that at this day and age there are business owners that would behave in such a purposefully devious manner with complete disregard for the law and basic morals.

I am thus obligated to warn other possible victims from going through the same drama that I have gone through with this individual. Hopefully this might persuade him to act differently in future.

I will update as and when a resolution has been reached.
