Bad customer service at Factorie Menlyn Park
I have visited Factorie shop at Menlyn Park, Pretoria on the 25th of June 2020, at 16:55. The cashier was Tebatso as per my receipt. I’ve found my clothing sizes except for one tracksuit. In the presence of Tebatso, her manager told me I could come back at 17:30 for my size since they kept one for a customer who seemed not be showing up. I fully understood that. I left the shop in hopes of coming back at the referred time by the manager, and decided to go back at 17:10 to purchase my clothes. When I came back with my family, the manager was not in sight. I asked Tebatso for my clothes (the ones that fit) so I could pay them. I asked her if I could still get the other pants since it was getting late and the customer whom they kept the clothes for was not showing up, she said she couldn’t since she had to wait till 18:00 (this was contrary to what her manager said but I still understood that). What bothered me is the manner in which the message was delivered, it was extremely unpleasant. She offered that she writes my contacts to call me again if the customer (the one they kept the pants for) doesn’t return, I declined since I don’t want to frequent shops due to the corona virus pandemic and I didn’t was to speak to her anymore since she was loud, impatient, rude and snappy. I didn’t want to draw attention from other people but Tebatso seemed not to care. She seemed not to care about the embarrassment she was drawing, this was when she loudly yelled out that she doesn’t care if I buy the pants or not, as long as she gets paid. This sentence indicated to me that she also doesn’t care how she speaks to me hence her behavior and her interest is not that of the store. I noticed that this shift and rude demeanor from Tebatso to me and my family was in the absence of her manager. Is this how the Cotton On Factorie Shop brand operates? I don’t even feel like wearing the clothes I bought as my shopping experience with Factorie shop Menlyn store was unpleasant. I want to know the following: 1. How will Factorie fix the shopping experience given to me and ensure that it doesn’t happen again to me and other customers? 2. How do I get to feeling comfortable again to visit that store and shop peacefully? 3. How do I know that Tebatso has changed her behavior? 4. Do Cotton On and Factorie give training on customer service? I know that employers may be triggered by customers, but I can assure you that there wasn’t a reason for her to behave that way.
Kind regards.
