Do not order from Fabricstore / SAwahmsupplies.

For anyone who is wanting to buy fabric from Fabricstore I would NOT recommend doing so. I have ordered 2x and the same thing happened both times.

First time I ordered fabric I was told that I must use Logic and write my nearest postnet meanwhile it got delivered to my house ?? How do you treat your customers this way by telling them to use logic. RUDE !!

The package arrived in a checkers plastic bag and was torn on one side. Luckily that was not damaged.

However...

The second time I ordered 40 m of fabric, it arrived in a ripped garbage black bag ( unfortunately I was not home to sign so I couldn’t send it back ). The package had rips all over it with the fabric poking out. The fabric had stains all over. That I tried to remove and are still there.

I tried to contact fabric store to see what they will do about it and how I can be compensated because of a fault on their side by not packaging it in sufficient packaging. I sent numerous emails, WhatsApps and missed calls and no one was getting back to me.

When they did get back to me, they told me that it’s not their fault and that they not sure if the courier company will compensate because the package was signed for. Meanwhile this has nothing to do with the courier company. On the courier companies website, they tell you that they won’t accept claims for damages if it was not in sufficient packaging.

You can’t tell me that a paper thing plastic bag is sufficient for something so heavy traveling from Cape Town to Johannesburg and you thinking it will arrive in one piece is honestly negligence on the fabric stores side.

I was told that they will not be compensating me for the damaged fabric.

I am a young business owner and spent R2000 of fabric of which R600 of it I can’t use because it is stained. How is that fair to me ?

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, their customer service is shocking, they don’t care about their customers, they don’t care about small business owner and they can’t accept responsibility!!!
