EZ Shuttle Services mployee maltreatment and **************

EZ Shuttle drivers have a union recently started fundraising and there are drivers who joined and those that didn't join the union

Those that joined the union are not treated the same (they are discriminated) by the employer. They are not shortlisted for jobs, they are overlooked with trips. Their drivers work 12 hours, placement and allocation of duties is different, benefits are different, salaries are different (employees might be on the same level but they earn differently). These people are drivers and they carry lives of their clients. They work more than 105 trips in a month with a salary pf R7000. In order to earn more they have to put in overtime which means more than 12 hours and work weekends when they are off.

What does the labour Department do about these kind of discrepancies. Are they bribed or are they overlooking the situation. An employee in South Africa is only allowed to work 8 hours a day. What is the tole of government in managing shuttles. Something must be done about the shuttle services.
