****! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST
DO NOT USE! AVOID! This company is *****ulent! Please email me at *** if you have been ****med by this company - I am an attorney and will help you free of charge.
Writing another review here to respond to the owner's response to my original review (you can have a look at a review by Byron Bromham and see the issue and the response". The owner operates under different aliases, such as Stanley Ncube, Stanley Van Der Merwe and Stanley Olivier (a major red flag). The company operates and trades under a multitude of names (bold media branding, sameday print, bold media signage, express print etc. another red flag).
On 2 April 2025, I placed an order with Express Print to print table name cards for my wedding which was the next weekend. I made it very clear to Express Print that I needed this work completed before I left for KZN on Tuesday, 8 April. On Saturday, 5 April 2025, Express Print sent me an email confirming that my printing was ready for collection (no proofs were ever sent to me). I went to the shop at 15h00 on Minday, 7 April 2025 (as instructed by Express Print) to collect my printing. When I got to the shop, I was told that the printing was not here and was not ready. They also told me that they had an issue and had printed the table name cards on A3 / A4 paper. When i asked why the printing was not ready, they told me that they were busy in the morning (having no regard to the fact that I had wasted petrol and time out of work to travel to the shop to collect the printing which I was told was ready). They promised to deliver the items that evening to my address.
During the early evening, I received a call from the security at my complex stating that there was a delivery for me to collect. Upon collection, I noticed that Express Print had only delivered the wedding programs and had failed to deliver the table name cards (which I paid over R3500.00 for - which was also a ******* as the place in KZN i had to end up using only charged me about R400). Now it was less than 4 days before the wedding and I did not have table names cards and I was travelling to KZN the next day - you can imagine the stress and difficulty this caused to me and financial strain (in and amongst the wedding planning) - don't worry, Stanley and the Express Print team did not care.
I was left with no choice but to get urgent printing done in KZN and thankfully, this outfit was professional and not a *****ulent **** like Express Print. Once I returned from my Honeymooon, I emailed Express Print and I asked them to please process a refund for the non-delivered items. I did not receive a response until I had to follow up multiple times. The response I received from Express Print was not "we apologise that we caused you so much stress before one of the most important days of your life" but rather, "we have a no refunds policy". I explained to Express Print that a blanket no refunds policy is not compliant with the CPA and also does not apply when you fail to deliver items to a customer. This went back and forth a few times with Express Print relying on their no refunds policy. Once they came to the realisation that you cannot rely on a no refunds policy here, they then attempted to blame the security guards at my complex and said that they refused to accept delivery of the items (which is a lie, because they do not have the discretion to do this and also, why would the security guards accept delivery of the wedding programmes but not the table name cards?). This is where Express Print stopped responding and blocked my email address. I tried to call Stanley and other employees at the shop, but they had blocked my cell number.
Eventually, I had to create another email address using Gmail and Yahoo just to contact them - although I received no replies. I then sent a letter of demand to Express Print and finally, they rep**** and also lectured me on my professionalism of communications (which I found quite humourous after his own treatment of customers). Since then they have made 3 separate promises to refund me by a certain date and have failed to do so, it has been a lie every time. When I spoke to Stan on the phone, he swore at me and told me to "f*** off".
