Breeder sold us an FIV positive kitten

<p>Please understand the following first and foremost. I am not crusading a hate campaign, but I feel I was treated *********ly and **** to by Anthony Aldum of “Exposed Sphynx”. I have veterinary proof of the positive FIV tests done at 2 separate vet practises with two separate types of test kits. I have the black and white conversations with my concerns about the health of the kitten, and the continued assurances that he was checked and given the 100% all clear by a vet, and that all viral tests came back negative.</p> <p> </p> <p>My life has been thrown into turmoil. My daughter (almost 4) is heartbroken, as are we. The kitten we had grown to love in the short time he was with us, has been returned to Anthony. I am upset that with a positive FIV result, he has decided to return the sick kitten to his home with other cats and kittens. The FIV did NOT come from my home or my cats, we checked them all, and the incubation period doesn’t match up.</p> <p> I was charged for registration of a kitten which was also not done. Anthony claims to be registered yet none of the South African councils list him as a breeder.</p> <p> </p> <p>So here I sit ... I feel that I was not told the truth. Anthony claimed to have had numerous tests conducted but when I speak to his personal vet, the story is different. Even the veterinary book given did not reflect a vet name/contact number nor any deworming or certificate of sterilisation. Its all a bit weird. Then he claims he uses two different vets ? Why ? Stories just dont add up.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am simply making people aware of this, as we paid R8500 for a kitten with registration and now we sit with nothing but a heartsore family and worries that the kitten has perhaps infected our other cats in the process.</p>
