Expert Stores - Experts at bad service and ripping me off

I bought a Free Standing Freezer from www.expertstores.co.za

After a long delay and me contacting the tafelberg store that was given the delivery, I eventually got my appliance delivered the Saturday Morning.

Two guys came with the delivery, one gave me the delivery note to sign while the other one was busy moving the box in the truck.

From a previous experience with another company (who seemed more clued up)...I asked them if they don't want to open it to check it...they rep**** they don't really do that.

I insisted they open it and did a quick walkaround to make sure there are no obvious dents or scratches.

When I plugged the fridge in a day or 2 later, and the lights inside were on, noticed something odd with one of the handles and so.

I sent Expert an e-mail the Monday and they responded and arranged with someone from Samsung to come and check.

The technician came around and noticed more issues...His opinion based on the damages he saw was that the unit fell while in the box.

I then had a lengthy back and forth with Expert...who did not want to take responsibility for the damage...they pushed it onto Samsung first then tafelberg and they said that i signed a proof of delivery so the unit must be perfect...and using this as their main source of "proof"...nevermind that the delivery guys did not use any trolleys and God knows where this unit might have fallen and that the last time the unit was in the box was when the delivery guys removed the box...

I have always bought from tafelberg directly...however, this was my first time i bought via expert website.

And because of the bad taste they have left in my mouth over this transaction, It will be my last purchase at both expert and their tafelberg stores!

I urge other buyers to be weary when purchasing from Expert Stores website!
