Experimac - second-hand Apple equipment - business model - rip-off

<p>Experimac ( experimac.co.za ) buy and sell second hand Apple Equipment. We got in touch with them because we had a spare iPad - latest model, still selling in the shops for just under R10k.</p> <p> </p> <p>We asked through e-mail, and on the 'phone, what they would be likely to offer for this model. They said they couldn't give any prices.</p> <p> </p> <p>They forced us to travel to them - they're quite a way out of time. Only to say they'd give R4k for it - it's in excellent condition with a new charger and cable...</p> <p> </p> <p>They were hoping to rip us off after forcing us to travel all that way. It's called the invested cost delusion.</p> <p> </p> <p>Avoid them.</p>
