Poor customer service from Expedition North Somerset Mall

I bought a pair of Salomon XA Wild hiking shoes from them in February 202, after one of the sales people recommended rhis particular model to me. The sole of one shoe came loose from the upper within the warranty period given by Salomon on their products. The claim was submitted by Expedition North but Salomon refused to honor their warranty. I went to see the owner, Mr Gavin le Roux. He had the typical ‘my hands are tied’ manner with me and refused to do anything about the obvious dishonesty of Salomon. I threatened to turn to social media after which he had a mocking and challenging attitude towards me. This is very poor and unprofessional customer service. It appears to me that his business is too small to back up his products. I recommend people rather to shop with bigger businesses like Cape Union Mart for instance since they will be more professional and should be better equipt to back up their products. My main dissapointment is obviously with Salomon, but I expected better customer service and some pride from Expedition North and the owner. Obviously I will not support his stores (Somerset Mall and Worcestor Mall) again.
