Zero Forewarning

I booked a transcontinental flight from London to Osaka. Well, typhoon jebi put paid to my original travel dates. Upon arriving at Heathrow Airport, I was informed that the flight had been cancelled and that the next one would be five days hence. Expedia didn't send an email informing me that this was so. For all I knew, the flight was still going ahead or, at any rate, hadn't been cancelled.
