Double charge by Expedia

I made a booking for a hotel during the Rugby World Cup for the AC Marriott hotel in M****ille, France, using Expedia. I was charged twice to my credit card for the booking (€318 each). Expedia support told me that they have no record of the charge and that I must contact my bank, this has now been escalated to a dispute and is being investigated.
