Empty promises, no guarantees

<p>During Nov 2015 we paid a deposit for 3 new prefab classrooms, and construction began shortly afterwards. Everything was manufactured on site, and in mid-Dec keys were handed over for the finished structures, which represented all that were promised and the remainder of the account was paid over. The contract included a full and comprehensive 12-month guarantee on workmanship and structural work on the buildings. Shortly after school restarted in Jan 2016, they were called in to replace door handles that were sub standard and broke within 2 weeks of use. This was replaced within weeks after having been reported. Other faults included flooring that started to lift up and warp as well as water leaks through roofs and ceilings following after even light rains. This was reported several times via telephone and e-mail, (8/1/16, 17/8/16, 10/10/16) the response every time was that they could not believe this and that it was a first for them. After photographic evidence were submitted showing damages caused by the water to furniture, equipment and floors, did they send a third party to corroborate our complaints and claims. Following this various promises were made and appointments made, which were not kept, and eventually after our last requests via e-mail (15/3/2017) we have till present not receive any response. We have in the interim fixed the roof leaks ourselves, where it was discovered that there were numerous holes drilled in the IBR which were guiding holes for pop rivits, and where no rivits were actually administered, resulting in the water to seep through the entire roofing structure. The 12-month guarantee has expired during Dec 2016 and we feel that we have been lenient enough for the entire period. The warped floors is an eyesore and a health hazard, as the floors carry heavy traffic on a daily basis. To fix that would entail the whole floor to be lifted, the structural basis to be strengthend and upgraded and the entire floor rebuilt. We just wish to warn any potential clients of their unwillingness to make good on their own promises that was offered to us, without us demanding it from the outset.</p>
