When things goes wrong the client is left on his own with no help.

We would have used another company but the 25th of June my wife contact Michelle at Execu-move in Cape Town because she heard they handled another couple’s shipment to Russia. I verified on helopeter.com and saw they had an excellent rating. Michelle contacted me on the 26th Jun and the next day the shipment was collected. I was very impressed with the friendly and fast packers that collect everything in a short time. Unfortunately, that is where the good service stopped. Russian citizens can have their shipment tax-free if they follow the correct procedure and therefore the shipment was on my Russian wife’s name and she went to the Russian consular to get a letter from him for exemption. Unfortunately, when we entered Russia on the 1st Jul we did not complete a form declaring the shipment in SA with customs because we did not know about it. It can’t be expected from the client to know that and we put our trust that Execu-move would assist and inform us on everything to be done so we don’t have to pay the heavy tax. Unfortunately, they did not and now I was told by Michelle that nothing can be done about it and because we moved on short notice she could not inform me. Well, there was enough time to phone me. Why did she not tell me at that stage that we need the form from customs at the Russian border? Now my wife has to leave the country and come in again to complete this form and so another couple of thousand rands more and many hours of travel and hotel costs. When things go wrong the client is on his own and I feel Execu-move is not willing to try and help. I am extremely unhappy about this situation and appeal to a senior person to help solve this problem or contact me on my Yahoo email.
