Stress-free Relocation to Ireland (and probably anywhere else)
We have just completed our move from South Africa to Ireland using Execu Move, eight weeks door-to-door. We haven't opened everything just yet as the house is being painted and hopefully carpets will be replaced too.
The larger items were unwrapped on the day of delivery by the your Irish Agent. The only damage discovered was the easing of the joints on one of the Chest of Drawers, probably due to overfilling & rotated during wrapping. My husband feels he can repair it easily once he has unwrapped all his tools.
The unopened boxes are in perfect shape due to good packing. Only the items closest to the container door had shifted slightly so those items were checked. Please thank Stoppa and his Crew for a job well done ?
The Irish Agent, Sue Stewart, was most helpful keeping us updated as to when our container was due in and she has kindly said they will collect the wrapping / boxes once we've finished unpacking, when they're next in the area.
We have been very pleased with Execu Move's professional manner and service in making our relocation a 'stress free' experience. And have told our friends if / when they relocate to contact your company.
Hi Graham and Sioban
Thank you for your lovely review on Hellopeter - I am particularly chuffed and appreciative, as I was personally involved with your shipment in the early survey stages and then again when your first choice of mover let you down.
I am sorry to hear about the chest of drawers but indeed joints can sometimes work loose due to varying climatic and temperature changes outside and within the container. Overfilling cavity space, as you suggest, should not happen if the cavity has been filled only with softs (duvet's, blankets, pillows, jerseys etc) - anything else could indeed overload the joints. I do know your shipment was a tight fit so the crew would have tried to consolidate space as best they could for you. Main thing is that it is easily repairable ..... thanks Graham!
We trust the rest of the move will go well and wish you both the very best of good old Irish luck:-)
Warm regards
