Horrified car wash experience
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Execu Car Care Herman Str. Meadowdale. On my first visit, I waited in the seating area while my vehicle was being washed. A few days later, I discovered that the panel/board in the boot of my vehicle had been damaged. While I cannot say exactly when it happened, it was the only place my vehicle had been handled at the time, which was very concerning. Unfortunately, I had no other option but to use the same car wash again. This time I noticed that the wash sponge was being used with water containing almost no soap. I could literally hear the sponge squeaking against the paintwork. I was horrified to see them washing my car with virtually no soap. Concerned that this could scratch my vehicle, I immediately asked the employee to stop and requested to speak to a supervisor. Rather than receiving an apology or reassurance, the supervisor appeared irritated and simply instructed the employee to add more soap. As far as I could see, nothing changed. Another supervisor then explained that this was their normal soap consistency because the staff don't like putting their hands to the bottom of the bucket to reach the soap that settles there. I found this explanation completely unacceptable for a business charging customers for a professional car wash. I paid R125 for a basic wash and dry. For comparison, I pay R100 at my usual car wash for an executive wash, where the staff consistently take pride in their work and customer service. A car wash should leave customers feeling confident that their vehicles are being cared for properly. Instead, I left worried about potential damage to my paintwork and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer care. Based on my experience, I will not be returning.
