Shocking workmanship & total disinterest in fixing it

Exclusive Floors TOTALLY wrecked an installation of ours recently and have been completely unaccountable.

We took the option of having them pour self-levelling screed instead of a 3rd party so we wouldn't have a situation where they're blaming someone else for a bad installation. Ironically, the pour was so poorly done that the laminate tiles are VISIBLY bowing in the middle of this very small room.

I highlighted the poor screed before the tiles were installed. Claude, the sales manager and person who apparently runs the family business, told me "you won't notice anything, this is normal". I regret trusting him, but he said they'd sort out any issue if I still had one. Their T&Cs includes a poor workmanship clause too. Claude refused outright to fix the problem properly, so we got a home inspection audit done.

The report found that the flatness deviation was at least 5 TIMES the permissible SABS/SANB limit. Claude was given this report and offered close to 2 weeks to respond to it, with absolutely no response at all. So we are unfortunately taking them to court on this as we cannot afford to have our property built improperly.

Cannot express how disappointing and dishonest this process has been.
