Refuse to accept reaponsibility

I purchased a box of wooden flooring to complete a patch job. Because the order was too small i offered to collect it from the warehouse myself.<br> <br> I used up my entire afternoon driving more than 20km to the warehouse and back to collect the stock but at areival at the warehouse i was told that there are no stock available. I confronted the owner/manager (who personally told me that stock is available) but he kept passing the blame and refused to accept responsibility.
