My credit report reflects I have a balance of R6430 owing from a loan I took in September of 2007 yet I have no recollection taking this loan! I have queried this with the call centre and requested that they furnish me proof or a contract that I would have signed upon receipt of this money and they can't provide me with any! Yes, I have had dealings with Real People prior to this incident and have paid everything owed to them. According to their records, the last loan I took - and was paid in full - was in December of 2006. The call centre agent advised me to get an affidavit so that an investigation can be launched. My question is, why must I spend my time to prove that I do not owe Real People yet they cannot provide me with a signed contract of when took this loan in question? What makes matters worse, from March 2007 I was based in JHB and was under administration.1. I was in no position to apply for new credit, 2. Why would I travel from JHB to KZN to take out a loan?<br> Please remove this listing against my name from all credit bureaus until you can provide me with proof that I did indeed take out this loan. Prompt response is always appreciated!!!!
