I called Real people 6 times and all those people who took my call could not hear me. Four of them asked for my number and offered to call me back. It was only the fourth person who called me back and gave me the relevant number for my query.

I called ********** 724 and spoke to Cheryl De Klerk. My query is based on the following: An amount of R1054.27 (which I was expecting) was deducted from my account on the 4th of December 2018 then another amount of R527.14 was deducted yesterday 10th of December 2018. I asked her what it was for. The explanation was that my account is in arrears and that it’s the difference because my instalment changed increased from October 2017. At this point I asked her to send me a statement so that I can see what she is talking about, I received the statement which reflected R0.00 and even in previous months there was no amount OUTSTANDING REFLECTING. I notified her of what I see which was sent by her, then she said they haven’t updated the statements yet. At this I made her aware of is that the statement she sent me is from when I opened the account to date 11th December 2018 it reflected all transactions including the R527.14 deducted yesterday and a closing balance as at TODAY 11th December 2018. I asked to speak to her superior, whom I was told is on another call and I would get a call back from them. My findings are as follows: If I was supposed to pay R1177.32 from October 2017 as per Cheryl 1. Why was I never notified of changes on my account. 2. Why has there never been an add on from R1054.72 of R123.00 per month. ON THE STATEMENT RECEVIED FROM REAL PEOPLE THAT AMOUNT IS NOT REFLECTING 3. Why SUDDENDLY in DECEMBER REAL PEOPLE DECIDE TO TAKE A RANDOM AMOUNT OF R572.14 which amounts to NOTHING…. I don’t know. 4. If R572.14 was for all the months date backing from October 2017 the total was supposed to be R1845.00 worked out: R1177.32 – R1054.27 = R123.00 X 15months

To me this all seems like a ****, which needs to be reported.
