Worst after sales experience of my life.
This is a long story on why i won’t recommend evetech, so buckle up.
Bought a laptop at evetech and still under warranty, it decided to just die while i was working. Booked it in for repairs on the 14th of March, received an email on the 16th of March that repairs could take 7 to 21 working days. On the 11th of April i sent an email to find out if there has been any updates and i received an email from Duan saying that they don’t have an update but that he has asked Pinnacle to escalate it. I have still not received any feedback. On Thursday I received an email from Duan that the laptop was only booked in at a service centre the previous day (20th of April) so how confused am I now?
My husband has been on the phone with them last week when the 21 working days was up and i swear he has spoken to everyone working there and still no one will give us a straight answer. We’re being promised feedback and call backs from everyone and no one is coming back to us.
If I understand correctly, they sent the laptop to some other company to fix and that is their excuse for not knowing what is going on. I mean, if this is a company you regularly use, how hard is it to pick up a phone and find out what is going on with a client’s laptop and then phoning that client back and informing them what is going on.
I’m currently studying and working and I need that stupid laptop to do both, and at this point I’m beyond hopeless and struggling and after all the emails and phone calls, I don’t know what to do anymore. It really takes a lot out of a person having to think about and to fight people all day to just end up begging them to do their job.
Sure 21 days, doesn’t sound like a lot but considering I booked it in on the 14th of March and today is the 24th of April and no one has given me any real feedback on whats going on… at this point i wonder if anyone even knows where it is and that they’re ignoring me on purpose hoping I’ll forget about it.
Can I just mention that I payed R25 000.00 for this thing and that it’s not some cheap thing that can be easily replaced.
Moral of the story? Think twice before purchasing. The after sales experience sucks.
