The Customer Is Not Always Right

Absolutely disgusting, unacceptable service. I ordered a PC case on an open box deal from their website on Saturday (R3000, marked down from R3750), paid on Saturday and POP was confirmed by Sunday. Didn't hear anything about it until today when I had to chase them up to get a "sorry, someone bought it before you even though the website still showed it as available". SURELY YOUR SYSTEM TAKES ITEMS OFF THE SITE IF THE QUANTITY HITS 0 WHEN SOMEONE COMPLETES AN ORDER. "Do you want another case though?" is the official party line.

Fuming, I phone Evetech, where the rep gives me the runaround about how open box deals are limited stock, with me rebutting that I shouldn't have been able to make the order if no stock was available. Evidently, he couldn't even make it up to me because he spoke to his manager and "the margin on the case is too low for us to give you a discount/honour the open box price".

So here I am, having had to pay an extra R750 so they can complete my order BY ORDERING THE CASE FROM THE MANUFACTURER BECAUSE THERE'S NOT EVEN ENOUGH STOCK TO IMMEDIATELY GIVE ME THE CASE I HAVE NOW PAID FULL PRICE FOR.

The manager is really getting a piece of my ****ing mind when I eventually go and pick it up. Never doing business with them again after this is resolved.
