Pathetic Service beyond Sales

Good sales service when you're buying from Evetech. Pathetic Technical Support I sent my computer in on the 7th of January under our business' name for my new upgrade kit to be installed which I bought just before Christmas for R21 000 (Ryzen 9 3950x, MSI B450 Tomahawk, Corsair 32GB LPX RAM). The RMA Job Card was supposedly updated by a Support representative to: 1. Install new upgrade kit 2. Check CPU temperatures under full load (advise if new CPU Cooler is req.) 3. Check for any compatibility issues 4. Check all cables integrity

I went to collect my computer the 9th of January, I was notified it was done. When I arrived I was met by a friendly face and asked to come through to workshop side of things and my computer was on, running smoothly.

I asked if there were any issues I needed resolved, the technician assured me everything was fine but that he didn't work on my computer.

I asked how much I should pay for the service of my computer and the support technician handling my RMA Job Card said it was "free" (a professional courtesy afforded to me I thought).

I got home and ran a GPU and CPU benchmark test, and I heard a weird clacking sound in my computer. My GPU was running at 80 degrees. It had never exceeded 55 Degrees in a benchmark. I opened my computer case only to find two fans blades were missing one fan 2 fan blades missing the other only had 1 blade left.

I returned the computer on the 11th of January and spoke to Johann and DB the Sales Manager and Support manager respectively, they advised their colleagues to get this fixed as soon as possible and get fans from the ASUS factory in Cape Town. They told me that the fans would arrive Wednesday the 15th of January if they were assured stock was available on Monday the 13th of January.

I then asked DB the Support manager to please make sure the RMA Job Card had the 3 other requirements I wanted on it. i.e.: 2. Check CPU temperatures under full load (advise if new CPU Cooler is req.) 3. Check for any compatibility issues 4. Check all cables integrity

He updated the Job Card and assured me it would be done

Monday (13th) I was told that they do have fans to replace my broken fans, and that they would fix them by Thursday or Friday latest. Today, Thursday the 16th of January I went to fetch my computer the fans were fixed but nothing else on the Job Card was done. The technician was not wearing an anti-static wrist band whilst touching my graphics card and motherboard.

The technician then apologized for the "new" technician that broke my R12 000 ASUS 1080Ti.

I asked DB if the CPU Temperatures were tested he asked the technician standing in front of me and he said no but I can run some tests now if you want.

Information was withheld from me about the state of my computer on the first service and I was **** to about my computer being in good standing, and my upgrade build fee of R599 was wavered because of the GPU break.

Honesty and Trust is the foundation of business.

I am never recommending their services to anyone ever again. Pathetic service, but at least they got their moneys worth out of me.
