Faulty Gaming PC – Breach of Warranty, Request for Refund or Full Replacement

Subject: RMA Updates : ERMA065812

I Mr Clint Stevens purchased a gaming PC from Evetech at a significant cost, trusting the company’s promise of quality and reliability. The PC is not even five years old and has suffered repeated hardware issues, specifically with the motherboard and BIOS. Despite multiple communications with Evetech support, including the return of the unit for assessment, the system continues to fail exactly as I warned it would if the faulty components were not fully replaced.

Evetech has consistently refused to acknowledge the defect as a hardware fault, instead attributing it to “corrosion” and “software issues,” despite clear evidence to the contrary. Their approach to “testing” the PC was inadequate, and their refusal to replace critical components has now resulted in further breakdown.

This constitutes a breach of the Consumer Protection Act, as the product is not fit for purpose, not of good quality, and has not provided durable performance for a reasonable period. Evetech’s service has left me feeling misled and cheated, especially after spending a large amount of money for what was supposed to be a premium gaming system.

I now formally demand either:

1. A full replacement of the gaming PC with an equivalent or better model, or

2. A full refund of the purchase price.

Should this not be resolved, I will have no option but to escalate this matter further through legal channels and make potential customers aware of my experience. Wian van Niekerk (Evetech Support Manager) is this the type of service you provide to all you customers???
