Failed laptop and desktop PC
I purchased a laptop (R20 0000) from evetech last year and encountered a variety of issues out of the box, the warranty appeared as already being active for about 6 months when attempting to register with the manufacturer and the battery drained with barely any use. I was asked to take it to a repair center which assessed the laptop and marked it DOA, evetech then offered me a credit with the option to have it paid back. I was relieved at the resolution and didn't hesitate with giving them a second chance. I then proceeded with a desktop build which was slightly more than the laptop in order to avoid issues like battery drain, the desktop was well equipped and should have been able to handle most current gaming titles at medium to high settings. The desktop was used with a 3D rendering software under a moderate load and started experiencing buzzing in the system towards the end of working on a file. I sent the pc to evetech and they assessed the issue as the power supply being faulty which they replaced. The gpu mind you listed that wattage as the recommended power supply and not to mention their site has features in place to ensure that your components are compatible while creating the build. I received the pc back and it started making the same noise again. I informed them of the problem and they said I would have to send it back to them to be checked and have the part replaced under warranty again. I was reluctant at this point because I had to courier the desktop back and forth to Centurion.
I decided against sending it back to them and I kept the pc for close to a year essentially unused till I was able to source a power supply locally with a higher wattage. The replacement part required more funds from me and a labor fee which then I felt was not going to solve the issue because the mother board also had a visible burn mark near the gpu slot which Evetech were informed of and did not pick up the first time during testing. Instead of getting the part locally I then sent the pc back to evetech for the same buzzing noise which they then diagnosed as the cpu cooler, a water cooler was suggested (more money to be spent), which I declined due to all the problems I experienced and the many years I've had using computers to know that a high end component should not fail in that manner unless it was being used with other components that underwent overclocking, the component had a fault from the factory or it was terrible quality which still made no sense as the software would crash if the load was at a level that the computer could not sustain it in order to prevent damage. They then replaced the part with a newer model and I experienced the exact same buzzing noise while the pc was starting up and not even while it was being used with any software. I contacted them again and I am now being told that they will not consider a refund and I need to upgrade multiple components just to avoid the buzzing noise.
As a bonus nugget of assistance I was suggested to move to solar power to rectify the problem.
