Evetech no more!

Evetech ran a special on an SSD, which I then purchased and paid via EFT (which takes a while to clear), only to have been delivered an inferior product. I sent this product back to Evetech immediately stating that they had sent the wrong SSD. After a month of NO response, I phoned them up, only to be told that they had no stock, and that the replacement SSD was sent instead. I asked then why they sent an inferior product to replace what I had ordered, and they said it was about the same price, to which I responded that the only reason for purchasing the SSD in the first price was because of the price and the specs. They said they would send me a better product and we confirmed over the telephone. I also asked them why I had received no correspondence from them and they said they had sent 2 emails prior. I am the administrator of my domain and can see what is coming through and whitelisted the email address.

Nothing had arrived and I phoned them back to speak to the supervisor Wian. He tried to tell me that the hard drive they sent was the same. Then he tried to sell me another inferior specked SSD.

Bottom line was Evetech entices people to purchase items and advertise them at low prices, but then tries to get away with pushing their inferior products onto you and expects you to be non the wiser. They then try to compare an item on special price, vs an item on full price. That's not apples and apples, that's apples and bananas.

I asked for them to send through the correspondence that they had sent me and still nothing has come through email. Which points to them being incapable of sending emails (and this is a tech company), or they were not necessarily telling the truth. They got my phone number right and got hold of me to tell me they would be giving me a complete refund.

Bottom line, I am going to try my best to not purchase items from them in the future. And if you want their level of service and customer satisfaction to increase, I would recommend you doing the same. Hurting companies in their pockets gets their attention!
