Evetech and their warranty claims
This was honestly the hardest and most frustrating warranty claim I have ever had to endure. I took my PC in on a Thursday and was informed by one of their consultants/representatives that they would look at my system on Friday or Saturday and they would mark my system as Urgent. I attempted to call them in multiple occasions on every single Evetech number I could find however THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONES. After having heard nothing for the whole weekend I emailed them on Monday and recieved a very snarky response stating that they have not even looked at it and will not for a while. After informing them that the system was important to my work for studies as I had no other access to a PC they rep**** with the same snarky response. I informed them of what their representatives stated to me and only after detailing who I spoke to they began my PC diagnostics test on Wednesday and informed me a Technician would be in contact with me who then never got in contact with me. They determined my motherboard was faulty and informed me they would replace it. They did not state to me that the credit I was receiving was based on stock price and not sales price and I had to fight with them until a manager called me to detail why. I asked him the same questions as I did their sales representative. After informing me they will replace it they I asked them with which motherboard and I determined on my own that they would be downgrading my system. This was not my warranty agreement and after alot of back and forth I had to pay in a Excess R1500 for a product that was 6 months old and under warranty. The technical representative phoned me on Friday to state that my system was ready for collection on saturday and I can come pick it up. On saturday I went to them to fetch my system and ended up waiting almost 2 hours for them to hand me back my system. Evetech never answers their phones, often replies to emails shot off with little information and their sales representatives attempt to provide technical support even though they are not informed on the details of their product. This was probably the last time I will go to them with a PC issue unless it is a warranty issue and even then the likelihood of them actually replacing your product with a like for like spec is low.
