Evetech 3 year warranty?

Their prices are good, but their warranty isn't 3 years as claimed. The warranty is calculated after 6 months with a depreciated value of the item. I bought the item for R3199. It went faulty after 9 months and they replaced it with a item with a value of R3039. I had to pay in R599 due to the depreciation value of the original item.
