Decent Service, Horrible Business Decisions

I don't necessarily have something wrong with Evetech themselves. Generally, I had a good experience. But they still made a horrible business decision and they need to figure their stuff out properly. But don't you worry, I will also write a useless review that the companies don't respond to or care about on Aramex's page.

Firstly, why the hell do you guys still use Aramex? Before writing this I saw so many other complaints regarding them. I don't really know why I asked that either as no one responds to these complaints on Hellopeter.

My first order on the 4th of November had the following note: "If I am not available on ***-***-***x, please leave the parcel(s) by security. They will keep it there for me." - And what did their tracking website say? "Customer refused delivery". Ok nice lie there because I happened to be at home that day as well and no one was there.

My second order on the 5th of December had the following note: "Please call ***-***-***x when outside." - And what did their tracking website say? "Customer not available, to be rescheduled". Ok nice lie there as well because I have been working from home since mid-November and have not seen anyone here yesterday at all. No call either.

To make matters worse, Aramex does not have any contact number. The one that you do find constantly rings, the others don't exist. You have to use Evetech as a middleman. Now, if delivery really was "FREE" as your website stated, then fine, no problem, you get what you pay for. However, I paid for this delivery, at least give me that service.

This is a horrible business decision from the higher-ups and I implore them to search for alternatives. I don't know what agreement you have with them, but charging me R200 delivery every time I buy something means you are either putting a small markup on it or not at all.

If that's the case, Fastway charges R72 national deliveries and R45 local. Courier Guy charges R140 for any overnight deliveries. And guess what? Both of them have contact numbers and friendly staff. They own up to their mistakes. Aramex is just some logistics company based in Dubai that literally gives 0 ****s.. Lekker life hey. Living in Dubai, no wonder they don't care at all.
