Bad after sales service

I recently bought a SteelSeries mouse from Evetech, +- 11 months ago, with a 2 year warranty. The unit has now gone faulty under guarantee and Evetech has a 6 months return to base policy which basically means we have to pay to send the unit back under guarantee, and also pay for the replacement to come back, totally unacceptable in my opinion. Where in the world do you pay to return an item within the warranty period. I am not happy Evetech and I might not buy a lot but it's sure going to be a lot less now.
